Shout-out to our Project Professionals. This team works diligently to provide our clients with the expertise to complete critical projects and support their key initiatives. This division has been going strong since its inception in January 2020 and we are excited for the potential of continued growth.
Thank you for all your dedication!
Alison Zajacek
Alison joined our Project Professional team back in 2021. She is an accomplished financial executive with a background providing leadership with financial analysis, strategic planning, risk management, financial reporting, and internal controls. She has a demonstrated history of working with Private Equity investors in the for-profit education industry. Her background as a CFO & Controller has proven to be of great value to Lohman Company.
She loves raising her dogs, relaxing with a good book, and taking shooting lessons. She is part of a bible study and enjoys spending time with neighbors.
Lohman Company believes in engaging with our local community to bring a positive, measurable change to our neighborhoods, where we work, and where we live. How have we been involved?
The Diaper Bank of Central Arizona
Who are they: Non-profit agency sourcing and distributing diapers to partner agencies, who help low-income families in need.
Our involvement: We are partnered with “The Diaper Bank of Central Arizona” to be a community drop-off location. We collect hundreds of packages of diapers and wipes each month from our local community.
In 2021, the Diaper Bank, with help from their partners, donated 644,000 diapers and close to 100,000 baby wipes to 26 critical non-profits throughout the valley. Lohman Company is proud to be part of this wonderful cause!
State of the City sponsored by the Mesa Chamber of Commerce
More than 800 people attended the annual Mesa State of the City sponsored by the Mesa Chamber of Commerce. Mayor John Giles returned to address a packed house for his eighth annual State of the City Address. Building his theme around the title of his podcast – “It’s Always Cool in Mesa” – the mayor celebrated some of the city’s strengths during the pandemic and looked ahead to the coming year.
In attendance from Lohman Company was Jay Lohman, Founder / President, and Craig Lohman, Partner.

It’s Time to Unwind
Life is about balance. We all must take time to rest, relax, and recharge. These moments will re-energize the mind, body & soul!
Our Senior Tax Manager, Dennis Hare, enjoyed some family time at Legoland this past January. Look at the smile on his boys! They had a great time together.
Cindy West, Administrative Assistance, took a trip with her husband and some friends to Breckenridge, CO. They enjoyed skiing, snowshoeing, the spa, and great food. However, the highlight of her trip – running into her son’s doppelganger. Not only does he look like him, his mannerisms and sense of humor were also similar. Do you see the resemblance?
Robin Lythgoe, Accountant, (far right) got to spend a beautiful afternoon waiting at the finish line for her son to complete his 3rd full marathon. He ran 2:56:55, came in third in his age group, and qualified for the Boston Marathon. What a great achievement! (Also pictured is Robin’s daughter).
Cati Piorkowski, Partner, (far left) completed her first 10K at the “Lost Dutchman Marathon” in Apache Junction. Joining her was her son Jack, brother Joe (who flew in from New Mexico), and her sister Jeanne. What a great support team!

Congratulations!
Sue Donovan, Executive Assisant
Daughter, Toni Donovan, Junior at Queen Creek High School, is an avid dancer. She is on the school’s company team “Prodigy” and had the opportunity to choreograph a dance with another student. Their routine “ I Lost A Friend” was showcased in their school’s recital.
Here is Toni showing off her flexibility.
For the Love of Food
Bibimbap Bowl (Keto Friendly)
What is Bibimbap? A Korean dish consisting of rice topped with sauteed veggies, beef (or other meat) and served with a fried egg on top. Sounds delicious? Well, this is how you can make your own Bibimbap at home.
Ingredients:
1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp toasted sesame oil
¾ tsp salt
1 lb. lean ground beef
2 tbsp chili garlic sauce
1 tbsp reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 cups riced cauliflower
1 cup thinly sliced cucumbers
4 fried or hard-boiled eggs
½ cup chopped green onions
1 tbsp sesame seeds
Directions:
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the spinach and cook for a few minutes or until just wilted. Drizzle the sesame oil over the top, and lightly season with salt. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until fully browned. Stir in the chili garlic sauce and soy sauce. Cook for one minute and then remove the skillet from the heat.
- Steam the riced cauliflower. If using the microwave, steam with one tablespoon of water for about 3-4 minutes.
- Build the bowl by first adding a ½ cup of riced cauliflower. Arrange a quarter of each on top: spinach, ground beef, and cucumber. Add the egg and garnish it with green onions and sesame seeds.
Servings: 4 bowls
