We are excited to welcome Collin Ward to Lohman Company as a Tax Manager.
Originally from Arizona, Collin brings experience across both corporate and individual tax work, supporting closely held businesses and business owners across real estate, manufacturing, and retail. He earned his degree from BYU’s highly regarded accounting program, has worked in tax full time since 2020, and received his CPA license in 2023.
What stood out to Collin about Lohman Company was the people. From the start, the firm took time to understand his career goals and long term priorities, with leadership genuinely focused on fit and relationships, both internally and with clients.
Collin describes his role simply: taxes are complex and overwhelming for most people. His job is to simplify the process, remove unnecessary friction, and help clients save time and money through thoughtful strategy and clear communication.
If his role had a theme song, Collin says it would be “Hot and Cold” by Katy Perry, a fitting comparison for a tax year that shifts between fast paced seasons and calmer periods. What stays consistent, regardless of pace, is the level of care and responsiveness clients receive. As Collin puts it, “At Lohman Company, we actually reply to emails.”
Outside of work, Collin enjoys spending time with his family, playing volleyball and pickleball, and diving into board and card games. He is also fluent in Spanish, having lived in Spain for a couple years.
